Downtown disappears into a mid-day fog a couple weeks ago behind a new exhibit of Canadian Painting from the 60’s at the Vancouver Art Gallery. We’ve got to remember to renew our membership so that we can go check it out soon.
Every time I shoot with the Canonet, I think I’ve got to get myself a Leica M again. When I scan the negs, I wonder why anyone would spend the money on one! ;-)

I’d have to say, one of my better decisions in life has been to live next door to the Coal Harbour Community Centre. For the first 5 years in the neighbourhood, we only went there to vote or for the odd wedding but, since Trajan’s come along, we barely ever string three days in a row together without a trip to the Gymboree or one of the other great programs they’ve got for kids.
Even better yet, thanks to the Gymboree, we don’t need to figure out where to stuff one of these cars in our apartment!

Is it OK to upload pictures taken with my Rolleiflex on a Vancouver 4/3’s group wander into the Vancouver 4/3’s group? Or, is this maybe a sneak preview of Olympus’ upcoming ‘Tri-X with Uncoated Tessar Lens’ Art Filter?

To say that Trajan is fond of his cousin Dylan would be a massive understatement. Every time he see’s Dylan, he squeals with delight and he’s always got a big kiss at the ready for him, something he reserves for only a few.

Should’ve known the weather was going to turn. Yuck, what a rainy, miserable day it was out there today! (This was taken last Friday)

While listening politely to Grandpa’s stories of beaver tail soup during the Christmas dinners of his youth in the wilds of Northern Alberta, Trajan is always skeptical of stories that involve the tired old plot device of trudging 8 miles too and from somewhere in driving snow and howling winds, uphill. Both ways. In July.

Ava turned two on New Year’s Day so, we just had to attend her party, sure to be remembered as the affair of the year. Ava’s Mom is one of Lisa’s oldest friends and they’re both absolute sweethearts.
Ava, however, got a little miffed when, after she was nice enough to go and get Trajan his sippy cup, he simply ignored her. Don’t worry Ava, Trajan’s just a little intimidated by older women, he’ll come around!
