Pretty much all the cruise ships that run out of Vancouver have now repositioned south for the winter and the tour buses are near empty (and a little damp!) until spring. There was an odd quiet over the city today with pretty much just Vancouverite’s present.

Yes, sir, I did indeed take a photo of you and your paintings on public property. Now, I own your soul and shall toy with it at my leisure.

Trajan had a hoot today. Rode the bike all the way over to Kitsilano this morning to weigh in on the latest Photokina rumours at Café Zen, a big nap then a couple hours at the water park in Harbour Green, hot dogs for dinner (a very occasional treat), more fresh BC apricots than you can shake a stick at and a great romp around the playground this evening. Poor guy almost fell asleep in the bath.
I call that a successful day.

The best part about Ceperly Meadow is the variety of experience it packs into a relatively small area. Right between the beach and the cacophany of dozens of picnics, family reunions, frisbee and bocce games lays a quiet row of benches where one can sit undisturbed and watch the ships come and go on English Bay.

Trajan was most excited at the prospect of seeing Max and Roza’s wedding, his first. He’s even more excited knowing that Dad’s almost finished editing the pictures from the wedding so he’ll get more playtime soon!
