pastoral garden on Flickr.

The fog sure did wonders for Sun Yat Sen Gardens over the weekend, much more pastoral with all the high rises in the background safely obscured from view.
The City Primeval on Flickr.
Oh, how I love living in a jungle of concrete and glass while having this just a 20 minute walk from my front door.

Now that the wax has cooled, I can finally share my liner shot of the D. Trevlon Band, appearing inside their most excellent new CD ‘Man of Investigation’, available here.
Excellent music and, a real pleasure to work with them.

I just love the horizon, can’t imagine now what life was like before having a panoramic camera. There’s a Fuji 617 on Craigslist that is steadily dropping in price, I sincerely hope someone else buys it before I stumble into some money!
Dave Moxey’s Quake, Tsunami and Meltdown Exhibition on Flickr.
Via Flickr:
Attended the artist’s talk for my friend Dave’s exhibit of his rivetting work documenting the aftermath of Japan’s Tsunami at Visual Space on Friday night.
The Exhibition is open today from 12-5 for one last look and, I strongly suggest you try to make it out. Powerful work.
While this isn’t the greatest picture of the exhibition, I’m glad it turned out at all. This was taken, hand-held, using the slow speed on the Horizon and, it was illustrative in that most of the crowd was of an age that still reflexively jump when they hear the targetting mechanism on a Soviet 9K52 Luna-M short range ballistic missile spinning up!

The beer tent at the PNE was just rife with thinly veiled John Fogerty references this year.
My Take on the Rolls Royce on Flickr.
Via Flickr:
Since Eric and Mike have posted theirs, I suppose I might as well post my take on the Rolls Royce we came across on Saturday waiting to take a newlywed couple to their matrimonial bliss.
Sadly, not quite the shot I wanted, maybe I’ll look through the viewfinder next time. I should’ve panned left to include the happy couple getting their pictures taken on the steps of St. Andrews. The guy with the cane though, perfect.
Under the Canopy on Flickr.
Via Flickr:
Enjoy it while you can kids. While it’s hard to tell in Black and White, some of these leaves were already starting to turn on Saturday.
The end of the Old Time Photo Studio on Flickr.

If you always wanted to get one of those old time portraits at the PNE well, you’re screwed. The owner has now retired and, another PNE institution has gone the way of the Challenger Map and the smash up derby.

A former light industrial lot by the Granville Bridge in Kitsilano is reclaimed to become a park at some point in the future, supporting the condo’s rapidly replacing all the other former light industrial land in Kitsilano.
